DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The grocery store ALDI plans to opens its first Dublin location later this month with special deals and giveaways, including a chance to win a $500 gift card.

The store’s grand opening celebration is set for Thursday, November 16 at 8:45 a.m.

The first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of ALDI Fan Favorites products and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card during the Grand Opening weekend from November 16 through November 19.

ALDI says the store’s opening comes as the company slashes prices on more than 70 holiday essentials. ALDI estimates the price cuts could help customers invite three more guests to their Thanksgiving table.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” Jefferson regional vice president for ALDI Shaun O’Keefe said. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Dublin and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
