Houston County DA: Woman arrested in connection with 2020 death of 2-year-old

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — 32-year-old Kianna Davis has been arrested in connection with the 2020 death of two-year-old Karter Ambrose, according to Houston County District Attorney William Kendall’s office.

Davis faces charges of malice murder, felony murder and first-degree cruelty to children, among others.

Davis was taken into custody without incident Friday by the Warner Robins Police Department, the U.S. Marshal Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, the District Attorney’s Office and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the indictment, from November 15 to November 17, 2020, Davis, along with Kiyon Benton, is alleged to have caused the death of Ambrose by beating the child with an object, resulting in a fatal laceration to the liver.

The Houston County Grand Jury indicted Davis and Benton on October 17.

Davis will remain in custody pending a bond hearing before a Superior Court judge.
