Warner Robins announces events lineup for 2023 Christmas season

The City of Warner Robins is gearing up for the holiday season with a series of events starting November 30.

UPDATE (11/30): The Warner Robins Christmas Parade has been postponed to Saturday, December 9 due to expected rain this weekend.

The city made the announcement in a Facebook post Thursday night.

“The Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10AM,” the post stated. “We will be using the same parade route. More information coming soon. Parade participants: be on the lookout for correspondence in the next 24 hours.”

UPDATE (11/28): The City provided an update on Tuesday regarding the parade and winter bazaar. “Due to the possibility of inclement weather, a final decision regarding the parade and bazaar will be made at noon on Friday, December 1,” the city stated in an updated news release.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Warner Robins is gearing up for the holiday season with a series of events starting November 30.

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is set to illuminate Perkins Field at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, marking the beginning of the holiday celebrations.

That event, according to a City of Warner Robins Facebook post, will feature performances by Bonaire Middle School, Shirley Hills Elementary School, Huntington Middle School and The Kendrick Academy, with special appearances by Fairytales & Friends as well as festive tunes from AJ The DJ. Food trucks will also be on-site.

“It is with great excitement and holiday cheer that I announce the kickoff of our annual Christmas season with the much-anticipated Christmas tree lighting event,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “The Christmas Tree lighting is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season and the festivities.”

The 65th Annual Warner Robins Christmas Parade will be held on Watson Boulevard at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, followed by the Winter Bazaar at Perkins Field from 12 to 5 p.m. the same day.

Families can enjoy a Family Fun Night at the North Houston Sports Complex, organized by Parks & Recreation, from 3 to 8 p.m. on December 6.

Also of note, the deadline for Keep Warner Robins Beautiful’s Home Decoration Contest is set for December 11.

For those looking to capture the holiday spirit in a photo, City Hall will host Pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus from 4 to 7 p.m. on December 20.

Rounding out the season, a Christmas Tree Round Up is scheduled for January 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Maple Street.
