GBI: Milledgeville Fire Department Chief William Collier arrested, charged with simple battery

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) says it has arrested and charged Milledgeville Fire Department Chief William Taft Collier with simple battery.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) says it has arrested and charged Milledgeville Fire Department Chief William Taft Collier with simple battery.

The GBI says Milledgeville Police requested the GBI’s assistance on October 25 after an October 22 incident during a fundraiser a Baldwin High School gymnasium involving Collier and a former fire department employee.

Collier was booked into the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
