Will Kendall announces candidacy for Houston County Sheriff, vowing continuity in leadership and public safety

Kendall’s career spans diverse roles, commencing as a Marine Military Police Officer and Military Working Dog Handler. Transitioning to the legal sphere, he pursued law school at Southern Illinois University School of Law, subsequently serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the Cordele Judicial Circuit before assuming the role of Chief Assistant District Attorney in Houston County in 2020.

Kendall’s campaign points to his initiatives as District Attorney, including the establishment of the first proactive DA Joint Law Enforcement Counter Narcotics Task Force and a significant Joint Law Enforcement Gang Task Force, saying they showcase his proactive stance on combating critical issues.

Kendall said in a news release, “My adult life has been dedicated to the safety and well-being of our citizens. If elected Sheriff, I will continue employing a proactive and tough-on-crime approach, ensuring Houston County remains a safe place for all.”
