MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The John Milledge Trojans played the Valwood Valiants on Thursday night in the GIAA-AAA state championship game.

The Trojans were looking for their fifth straight title. John Milledge had won 62 games in a row. Its last loss was on November 30, 2018 to Frederica in the championship game. John Milledge has beaten Valwood four times during its wining streak.

The Valiants had only lost one game this season. The team beat Frederica 56-30 last week.  They were scoring 49 points per game.
