Skies will remain clear over Middle Georgia as strong breezes from the northwest begin to back off. The near full moon will be visible overnight tonight thanks to the clear skies. Those with older plumbing in their household may want to consider dripping their faucets as temperatures bottom out in the mid to upper 20s. Below freezing conditions are expected across the entire region.

Sunny skies will stay with Middle Georgia for Wednesday. Temperatures will reach the mid 50s for most of the region yet again, however it should be a lot less breezy with the northwest winds backing off to about 5-10 mph. Gusts could still reach upwards of about 15 mph.

The wind will be a bit more variable from the west during the overnight hours with temperatures again likely to dip below freezing. A few clouds are expected to move into the region overnight as high pressure moves through the Peach State and off to the east.

Thursday and Beyond

The wind will shift to the southeast following the departure of high pressure over the region. This will set the stage for a wet pattern that will likely bring thunderstorms Friday through Monday. Temperatures will be the warmest of the week, however.
