MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warmer and more humid conditions are likely Thursday ahead of rain chances Friday.

The Rest of the Evening

Plenty of cirrus clouds are likely to make their way into Middle Georgia this evening and overnight tonight. These will do little to act as a blanket, however, with temperatures likely to dip into the upper 20s around Middle Georgia once again. Very little wind is expected tonight, however what wind Middle Georgia does see will be variable as it shifts from the northwest to the southeast.

Tomorrow

A mostly sunny start will give way to partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s and lower 60s with ambient winds from the east-southeast around 5-10 mph. No rain is expected during the day.

Rain will also be hard to come by tomorrow night, however a couple of showers in the northern half of the region after midnight are not impossible. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 40s with winds from the southeast at 5-10 mph.

Friday and The Weekend

Friday will start off cloudy with a few showers likely around the region during the mid to late afternoon, especially over the northern half of the region. Temperatures will likely reach the mid 60s around the region with winds from the south-southeast around 5-15 mph. Gusts will likely push upwards of 25-30 mph. Storms will be possible in the evening and overnight.

Storms are also likely both Saturday and Sunday as a cold front stalls out and becomes a stationary front. This should clear the region ahead of Monday morning, however cloud cover associated with the system could linger until next Wednesday.
