DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 41NBC caught up with Dublin Mayor Phil Best to find out why the Emerald City is the place to live, work, and play.

Best said the people is what makes Dublin great. He adds there has been a lot of growth in the city recently, including several industries that call Dublin home.

Best said if you find yourself in the area, you have to visit downtown. And of course, Dublin has a great St. Patrick’s Day celebration that lasts a month long.

Best believes the city is so great because the people really come together to solve problems.

When it comes to challenges the city if facing, Best said crime in the area has gone up a tad.

Best has lived in Dublin since 1988, He’s served as mayor for the last 15 years.
