It will be another frigid night around Middle Georgia where once again the record low temperature could fall. It fell this morning with a new record being set at 26 degrees. Tonight’s forecast low in Macon is 31 with much of the region expected to approach the freezing point again. A Frost Advisory is in effect for all but the southernmost counties until 10:00 AM Friday morning. The good news is winds tonight should be calmer as they come from the northeast at around 5 mph.

Tomorrow

A bit more cloud cover is likely Friday afternoon, but the sunshine should still overall be dominant. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s with winds from the east-northeast expected to continue at about 5-12 mph. Gusts could reach upwards of 17 mph. Conditions will be chilly for Friday Night Football, however, with kickoff temperatures likely to be in the 50s. Temps will be dipping into the 40s by the time most games come to a close.

Sunny skies are expected both Saturday and Sunday with highs reaching into the 70s both afternoons. Little wind is also expected this weekend, so it would be a good time to catch up on any yard cleaning, or maybe going to see UGA play Missouri in the afternoon. Next week expect conditions to keep getting warmer with the humidity also likely to increase. Also, don’t forget the time change Saturday night! Daylight savings is coming to an end, so you’ll need to set any non-automatic clocks back an hour.
