More sunshine and warmth Tuesday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – High pressure will remain over the Peach State for one more day, keeping the sunshine and heat around Middle Georgia.
Overnight
Expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be gentle out of the southwest.
Tomorrow
Another warm and sunny day awaits Middle Georgia on Tuesday. While the heat will likely not be record setting, highs will still reach into the lower 80s, about 10 degrees above average for this time of year. Winds will blow from the west-southwest at around 5 mph. Very little cloud cover is expected.
Tomorrow night skies will also be clear with winds from the west-southwest persisting at around 5 mph. Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s ahead of Wednesday morning.
Wednesday and Beyond
With high pressure finally moving out of the area and out over the Atlantic, cloud cover will begin to return to the Peach State, starting with cirrus clouds on Wednesday. Additional cloud cover is expected to fill in overnight with Thursday and Friday being cloud days as a cold front moves in. This cold front, however, is expected to stall out over the region into the weekend. This could lead to increased rain odds throughout the weekend.
