MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon’s Cherry Blossom Festival is set to welcome Georgia’s Bryce Leatherwood, the season 22 winner of The Voice, as part of the 2024 Festival’s Nightly Concert Series.

Leatherwood will take the Coca-Cola Entertainment Stage at Carolyn Crayton Park on March 23, 2024.

The 23-year-old country musician from Woodstock spent his childhood summers at his grandfather’s farm in Lizella, according to a Festival news release, and his early exposure to icons like George Jones and Merle Haggard shaped his musical journey.

“Bryce was his granddaddy’s shadow growing up and always wanted to spend his summers and any break from school right here in Lizella, Ga on his Granddaddy’s farm,” his aunt, Amy McCallum Stokes, said.

While attending Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Leatherwood played college venues and eventually formed a band that played around the southeast.

He competed on NBC’s The Voice in 2022 and was crowned the winner in December.

The 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 15-24, 2024. It’s $10 to get in each day, and that price includes the nightly concert series. Children under 10 are free.
